What you count in a hardware store
- Paint cans and supplies
- Boxed tools and power tools
- Packaged fasteners on peg hooks
- Garden and seasonal products
How to use Quanto in a hardware store
- Count peg hooks from the front so each package is visible.
- Use the barcode scanner for products with similar packaging.
- Keep one location per aisle.
What it doesn't do
Loose screws, bolts in bins and lumber are not a good fit for photo counts. Use manual entries for those.
Questions
Can it count products hanging on hooks?
Yes, when each package is visible. Packages hidden behind the first one on a hook are flagged as possibly hidden.
Can I record a unit cost?
Yes. With a cost per unit, the stock page shows the value of your stock.
